SHORT BIOGRAPHY:

WithLove is on a mission to love as many people as they can reach through their music and philanthropy to communities around the world as seen and heard around the world in the US, UK, France, Romania, Hungary, and Turkey. Started in 2013, withLove is a dynamic ensemble of millennials, blessed with exceptional musical gifts. Their new sound, which includes splashes of alternative rock and pop, but rooted in the Gospel, Pop, and Funk genres, is fresh and creative, flaunting the same racial and musical diversity that make up the ensemble. Their refreshing approach to sharing more love as a light in this world can be found on their latest single “Untitled Feelings” as well as their debut CD-album self-titled “withLove”.

Their goal is that everything that this ensemble does is an active expression of love to the people. They also believe that music is what brings people of all backgrounds together; the experience of music combined with the message of Love is where self-purpose and meaning can be powerfully discovered. “God is love” is what their leader, Davy, quotes from 1 John 4 where he believes the core message of love is concisely packaged to the world. Davy stated, “I believe that Love can be tangibly felt and seen when we take action to love others no matter their condition with the strength and grace of what perfect Love was divinely intended to be”. That’s why the groups’ name is withLove.

Their single, “Untitled Feelings”, dropped in late 2022, is a blend of the pop genre with hip hop rhythmic influences. It sounds like a cool breeze on a warm evening while out on the town. It was written with the intent of the journey that is LIFE – how many untitled feelings arise during your search of purpose through the ups and downs. You’ve probably seen a lot, maybe too much at times. But then the bridge hits you like you just discovered something special – the “mighty bright lights” – in the midst of what felt like darkness. This discovery feels like a sensation of hope that reveals the source of joy and peace in the midst of the journey. “Your joy is all I ever wanted…You peace is all I ever needed” is an anthem to the trench-work that is everyday life.

EXTENDED BIOGRAPHY:

Davy, withLove’s founder and visionary, was passionate about finding a group of young people who had a heart for serving others through music and travel. He found it in Stephen Waddy and Myron Mollon. The trio creates an amazing musical collective that’s quite different than anything on the alternative pop music scene today. Warren says, “When I was given the vision for withLove, it was to create a diverse missional band that embraces the needs and hearts of communities around the world, especially here in Baltimore in light of the Freddie Gray uprising. We want to be part of the healing process of our city and across the world – reconciling people’s hearts back to God and the embrace of everlasting love”.

When the group isn’t touring, jamming, or praying together, they are hitting the streets, ministering to the needs of people. Periodically, they hold “The Love Sessions” organized by their non-profit, The Let Love R.I.S.E. Foundation (www.LetLoveRise.org), where they mobilize volunteers to engage the community through the arts via block parties while creating platforms to serve the real needs of communities around the world – whether that’s delivering food to the sick and shut-in, feeding the homeless, or mentoring at-risk youth. They pour out their lives as mentors to those who have none and give back to a community that are desperately in need of love. Outside of the Baltimore region, they have been on missions tours throughout the US, UK, Romania, Hungary, France, and Turkey and sponsor a child in Veracruz, Mexico through Compassion International. Davy feels that it’s important that withLove provides inspiring music, but even more-so he wants the group to inspire this generation of believers and non-believers around the world through simple acts of love.

The debut album, “withLove” dropped in the Fall of 2016, is a blend of the many influences of the group members. Lovers of contemporary worship from groups like Israel & New Breed, Hillsong and Gungor, withLove is forging a path that’s all its own. Songs like “Worth It All” and “My Heart Cries Out”, two of the album’s singles, showcase the amazing songwriting and vocal talents within withLove. In addition, it’s hard to overlook the incredible musicianship – not typical of most bands – easily heard from the first note. Eeach song touches the heart in a powerful way. Other moving songs like “Something Beautiful” and “Set Us Free” are unforgettable anthems yet to be heard in mainstream as well. It’s apparent that this group is delivering something special to music lovers.
